CHAPTER 3

 

The difference between transactions in the Invoicing module and transactions under the Customer module is that there is stock control (i.e. inventory management) for the Invoicing module whereas there isn’t under the Customer module.

 

For example, delivery orders and invoices issued under the Invoicing module will reduce the number of stock recorded in the Product Master.

 

Also, when you select Print to print a transaction under the Invoicing module, then you can print a Tax Invoice for GST purposes, whereas only double entries are printed for the Customer module.

 

Therefore, you should key in transactions under the Customer module only if you do not keep a record of the quantity of stock and you issue invoices manually using another system.
