Month End Stock
The Month
End Stock or stock valuation report
allows you to calculate the value of your closing stock for entering in
Closing
Stock in the General
Ledger
module.
The cost price is used as the basis for calculating
the price of stock in transactions. The cost price for stock out transactions is
either using the FIFO basis or by the weighted average cost
method.
FIFO
basis: The cost price of stock
out is based on the cost price of the first stock in
transaction
Weighted
average cost basis: The cost price of stock
out is based on the weighted average cost of all stock in transactions to
date.
